Many New York workers qualify for paid time off to take care of their families. "Paid Family Leave" is for:

Paid Family Leave is for up to 12 weeks of job-protected time off at 67 percent of your average weekly wage. (But no more than 67 percent of the statewide average weekly wage.) You return to the same job, or a comparable one, after Paid Family Leave. And you can keep your health insurance during Paid Family Leave.
